NFL KICK OFF ‘24 - KANSAS CITY

NFL Kickoff ‘24 - I was the Art Director and we were a really small team. It was only myself and a designer so, I still had to take on quite a bit of design work. We usually are tasked with allgning with the brand campaign for the season, but this year we had a bit more freedom. We wanted to do something that was high energy and bold to get people excited and also attract young fans. The two directions were CATCH THE VIBE and IGNITE THE SPIRIT. Only one get’s chosen but I was really happy the way both turned out, espeically once we put a little motion graphics on our assets - which can be seen below.


















CATCH THE VIBE - Bright vibrating gradients, bold colors, and bouncing interactive type was where we landed on this one. The motion graphics though, really bring this direction to life.


















Pepsi Tailgate - This was the main event so to speak. Kickoff as a live event has downsized considerably over the years and aside from broadcast and social activations, is now mostly an exclusive party for VIPs and their families.


































Unused Direction : IGNITE THE SPIRIT Unfortunately this direction wasn’t chosen depsite it being ours and my personal favorite. Since I came from comics I was really excited to use this really bold, loud, graphic storytelling inspired by the energy anime and the Spiderverse films. It’s a shame but all part process.
